Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Does anyone know when Wicked will be back in St. Louis?

Question:I realize that they were just here, but I went once, for the first time and LOVED it, however it was sold out before it got here so getting tickets was a little hard and I didn't get to go again before it left. Does anyone know if it will be back again later this year or in 2009? Anytime before the estimated end of its run?

St. Louis was the highest money making city for the production of Wicked. It has played the city twice in the past two years and trhere is talk in having St. Louis as a seated production in the furture. I know Chicago's production of Wicked is not too good and I was very disappointed when I saw it. I think St. Louis has a much better theatre draw too.

from wiki:
Over 2.2 million people saw the touring production in its first two years, and it grossed over $155 million.[3] The tour has played to capacity crowds on almost every performance,[3] with tickets for four-week engagements selling out in as little as seven hours.[3] In the week ending December 30, 2007 the production took in $2,291,608 in St Louis, Missouri, the highest weekly gross in North American touring history.[43]

check for shows at the Muny. they do musicals all year round and hey! you might see me there, I'm auditioning for their teen chorus this spring.

I'm not sure. I tried checking their schedule on wickedthemusical.com and there were some technical difficulties. Try looking on that site.

I completely understand how you feel, by the way. Hairspray passed right by me. St. Louis is a bigger city and the chances of returning are greater than Hairspray coming back to Des Moines, Iowa.
