What are some good acting techniques, I always audition and NEVER make it!?

Question:Well, maybe you just did not have the right look or didn't fit the part. But what I do right before I audition for things, I do that thing that Sharpay does, I know... hahaha. Also, if you know what you will be doing, then practice it or practice making funny faces and not laughing, it all works.

A good general tip that can be applied to any show is to audition for the part that suits you. If simply you audition for the lead every time odds are you won't get the lead each and every show. When you find out about auditions for a particular show, research it. Check out the script or score, watch any movies of it, youtube it, google it. Find out what the roles require in terms of acting, singing, and dancing. Pick one that caters to your individual strengths (and weaknesses), and focus on that.
