Help me out here? Is the play aimed at ten year olds or is the painting aimed at ten year olds. Do you have to paint the painting or is it supposed to be a famous painting like the Mona Lisa or Blue Boy or the Last Supper? There's a famous painting called Sunday Morning in the Mines and here in Mytown somebody painted a large copy of it on the wall of a tall building and then painted the miners escaping from the painting and climbing down the fire escape. You could do something like that. Start out posing as a painting with several characters and talk about what you are going to do when you get out. And then do it! Or you could be trapped in the painting and try to get a musem patron to do something for you. Like take a message to somebody in another painting. The Harry Potter movies and books should give you lots of ideas for things people in paintings can do. In fact someday I'd love to see a spin-off of HP starring all the people in the paintings. I think this sounds like a great assignment. However you do it you should have a lot of fun.

Use lots of bright colors and be fun!
