Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Acting/Singing/Dancing. Can you help?

Question:Okay, so i've been dancing for 11 years now(i'm 16), singing my whole life, and acting since i could talk. (obviously, it's a bit of an exaggeration). i LOVE doing these things. Absolutely love it. i plan on living on it. i've been on the stage my whole life, and i certainly could NOT live without music. Where would we all be without listening to some good songs throughout our day? Annyways, i'm wondering...what colleges and college courses should i take for this type of career? If you don't know, do you have any advice, any at all to raise my chance of getting this career? Thank you sooooo much in advance!!!

There is Osslin agency you could go there are many but its for kids like 18 or younger something like that

I would try and go to film festivals, or any acting seminars in new york city, cali, or any big city. this could get you some major connections, which helps so much when trying to break into the business. do yourself a favor, and never give up. just don't do it. People will tell you to, I know, I'm in the same situation as you. But you have to realize and tell this to yourself: I will be a famous actress. I will.

There are a few colleges that have excellent musical theatre majors. It is a very difficult field with very few jobs available at any given time.

I have been acting for over 25 years in over 200 productions, and, yes, it is a wonderful career while you are performing and doing well. But you should know that it is an extremely competitive field and most actors have a "Plan B" to fall back on -- teaching, temp work, waitering, delivery, warehouse, etc. At any one point in time, about 5% of Actors Equity is actually making a living acting. Just be prepared!

For Acting, I would recommend
