most of the dresses of that day were floor lenth, simple, short sleeved, and had empire waists. here are a few links. . . these dresses are simple to make, all you have to do is sew a long skirt to a cap or leg-of-mutton sleeeved shirt(both prefrebly white)

i was just recently in a production of pride and prejudice. Well...if you live around SF, then i can tell you where to go, but otherwise....no. Lol. Well...the time period was very...empire waists and such (like now pretty much lol). So she was plain but pretty and elegant, so try to find a color scheme. We used...white and blue. Both colors of innocence.
