Position:Home>Theater & Acting> Is it a goood idea to go to a acting audition without having no training???

Question:Without having any training?
Well, mister acting is my life,
you don't sound like acting is your life.
If you know what you're doing, you don't have to take classes and stuff before you go to an open call. because you have little experience, you are less likely to land the job/show, but everyone has to start somewhere. My first play audition I got a lead, without classes or anything. So get out there and do your best. If you wish to pursue acting as a career or get and agent or something, I recommend you take classes and get more experience, but if you can go on auditions until you've auditioned before, then no one would ever be able to go on auditions. So everyone has a first time with or without classes.

Good Luck!!

I'd say go for it, the worst that can happen is you not get a part, and that could happen even if you do have training. Besides, auditions is one way to get some training in... but if you really want to get some real training in and if you're really serious about acting, go to a theater summer camp, or get an agent. An acting agent doesn't cost anything until you get a job (they get 10% of your profits).

It can't hurt, even if you don't get the part. It's good experiance in any case and after all, they can't kill you, right?

well sorry miss "sandwitch" but how did you start acting?
you went out there your first time with no training, and you fell in love, and now its how you said it, your life.

dont listen to her, look when i went out first, it was for "wonderland" i sang my heart out and read like no ones business. and i didnt get the lead, my friend did. sure it hurt, and i was sad, but i went back and did the EXACT same thing, and got the part for the next play.

keep trying and just do your best.
and even after all my auditions and being in the most elite acting group in my area, i STILL get huge audition jitters!

break a leg!

How else you going to learn. Audition or go to acting school and audition there.
