Puppet Show Help!!?

Question:ok so i am doing this puppet show for a speech festival and my puppet is like this big green furry animal-grinch thing and i need some tips for a voice.......any suggestions?

I'd consider something green and furry and Grinch-like ... Honestly, talk it over with the puppet and see what he (or she) thinks ... In other word, practise: keep doing it over and over and see what happens. Try impersonating another 'character' voice and then adapting it to your needs.
