Position:Home>Theater & Acting> What is SAG? (Screen actors guild) But what is it? and what's Union and Non-Question:Please help! Can you also give some examples please!? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Please help! Can you also give some examples please!? Let me say this: You can't get a job until you join the union; you can't join the union until you have a job. This is a quote that many actors have heard. It means that you will have to get a job through open auditions which is really hard to get. SAG is a actor's job that allows people who belong to it to auditions that are not open to the public or you get priority auditions (this means you get an air-conditioned room and a bigger room and you get to go first-meaning you don't have to spend over 2 hours waiting). Union and non-union is this that i just described. Union is what i just wrote and non-union is the exact opposite. Go to sag.org to learn more! Hope that helps! Julia |
