Its important to consider what you're auditioning for. A good idea is to dress somewhat dressy, but still casual enough to move in. Think of it as a job interview. You wouldn't go in dressed like you'rew going to a club. A good idea is something that shows off your figure or accentuates your good qualities while minimizing your not so good ones. Solid colors are the best choice. You want them looking at you thinking about how you read/sing/etc. Not what your wearing

I've been told by a friend when he was directing a show, a girl was wearing a black and white triped shirt and he didn't pay any attention to what she said because all he could think is "She looks like a prisoner"

I suggest black or any other neautral color pants, not so much jeans as they look too casual unless they're designer. A top that you're not falling out of or looks too old/young. Clothes with words and logos are always a bad idea.

If it requires a dance audition too (like if its a musical) you may want to bring something to change into. Maybe character shoes if you have them and dance pants.

You might see if you have somethig that will make you stand out, but not be distracting. Like a tasteful pair of earrings or necklace. Then wear it to the callback if you get one and they'll have an easier time remembering you. Good Luck!

What ever you want=) Just make sure that whatever you wear that your comfy....

Just think of the role for which you will audition, and consider clothing that complements the character. Wear clothing that makes you feel confident and attractive. Do not dress in costume unless specifically asked to do so by the casting director.
And yes, do not wear graphic tee's.
