Question:

Youth group skit?

Hey I need people's ideas for a youth group skit the theme is putting god first

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: We did one that started with a guy on his couch at home. Another guy playing Jesus rang the doorbell. The kid answers...
Kid: Hey, Jesus! It's great to see you? Did you need something? (Jesus shakes his head "no") Uh, okay... so you just wanna hang out, I guess. (Jesus nods "yes") Alright. I was just about to watch some TV. Uh, wait. I can't exactly watch what I was going to watch with you here. You know, it wasn't exactly... never mind. Lets do something else. (Jesus crosses towards the other side of the stage) Wait!!! What are you doing? Don't open the fridge! I, umm... you wouldn't like the kind of drinks I have in there. Look, let's just sit over here. (This can go on longer if needed. Jesus can look at his magazines, dust off his bible, etc. Anything to give the impression that the kid isn't putting him first)
Ending: Look, I have a party to go to. I'll catch you later. (Starts out the door and Jesus follows. The kid turns, getting progressively angrier) Okay, seriously, stop. You can't come with me. You are embarassing me. LEAVE ME ALONE! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? I DON'T NEED YOU!!! WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STOP FOLLOWING ME? I HAVE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO THAN SPEND TIME WITH YOU. (As the kid yells, he is grabbing Jesus' hands and feet and punding them like he is nailing him to a cross)
This is very effective when it's done with a lot of anger. It seems so "mean", but people realize that they do this on a regular basis when they don't put God first.
