Soooo easy! I learned this in a college english course!. Emily Dickenson wrote poems according to a certain rhythm!.!.!. her poems can easily be sung to the melody of Yellow Rose of Texas or Gilligan's Island!. Yes, it's true!. I have memorized several of her poems by this method!. Have fun! (I heard a Fly Buzz is a good poem for this trick, although it's a kind of lengthy poem)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Zanzibar is wise!. I write poetry using old melodies!. I like "Streets of Laredo!."

The only way to be confident is to know more than your audience!. Read and recite the poem 30 or 40 times!. Then try it without looking at the paper!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Turn it into a song and group sentences together!. Try picking a song you know the words to and know the beat of it and change it to your poem! I had to turn mine into songs in order to remember mine and some were long! Good luck!Www@QuestionHome@Com
