Question: What format would you say this poem is written in & do you like it!?

I see this vision in my mind
It’s every detail well defined
And in this vision, there are two
Seems one is me, the other you

Loosely, we appear entwined
I see this vision in my mind
It seems as though we’re in a trance;
Tranquil, we embrace in dance

You glibly shift, take me in hand
As if this dance was afore planned
I see this vision in my mind
When it gets blurry, I rewind

As melding, now, we dance as one
Sultry, steamy and so much fun!
In poetry, this now enshrined
I see this vision in my mind

I think this is a Quatern; I'm not positive (actually I'm just guessing, so don't take my word)!.

Yes I like it!. I think you captured that schizophrenic-ness quiet poetically, and your rhythm seems to be getting much tighter!.

This was just pure fun, in my mind and ears!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The form is quatrain, or four-line stanza!.
The rhyme scheme is 'a a b b '!.
The meter is iambic quadrameter!.

Not bad as verse, but for modern poetry
it's a bit sing-song, because the meter
is four short feet per line!.

You might try iambic pentameter, trochaic
pentameter or anapestic quadrameter!.

Better yet, try to loosen the structure
and be a bit freer with the meter!.

The content/subject is great!.

A variation of Kyrielle!? Or does it strictly adhere to a form!. Each stanza contains the line, "I see this vision in my mind": it's the first line of the first stanza, 2nd of the second, 3rd of third, and last of fourth!. Just guessing!. Please tell me what it is if I guessed wrong!.

I loved it! I'd like to sit at your feet and learn!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it reminds me of Rubaiyat(quatrains) of Omar Khayyam , except you use

1!.
2!.
3!.
4!.

then use 1!. as second line of next stanza, and third line of the the third stanza ending with the last line of final stanza!.

It reads beautifully, romantic and honest!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If you didn't write it with any intentions of it being a specific form, I'd say it's free verse!. I like the first paragraph in particle!. Humorous and poetic!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
