Question: Comments on a poem about walking away from addictions!?
Temptress who held you
in addictive trance
has grown haggard,
her grip
more relenting!.

Slowly, you pry her
last finger loose
escaping
into world's
sweet release!

Yet, voids must be filled,
you take backward glance!.
Her lost beauty,
stench of breath
still call!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We all want to be addicted; it makes us feel wanted!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The temptress who held him
in uber addictive trance
Never grew haggard,
His need for understanding
made her grip iron, not relenting

Quickly & deliberately he sought her
to tighten her grip
Slowly, he mesmerized her to stay
to pry himself open of pains of the world
sweet release!

His voids she did not filled,
Millions of miles away
I couldn't understand Her stunning beauty,
whose stench of breath
brought about his death!.

May his soul rest in peace
in heaven with our mother
both peacefully blessed!.
He is finally free
and with the one loving him

our mom
whom we all, especially he, idolized!.
It was her passing
that brough to his gentle soul
all the pains of the world!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Loose examination marks loose "yet" pare down this, it's almost like three haikus, re -write and then re-write again!. I'd say , "Her gown, haggard, held a relenting grip!?" Does that make sense!. Anyhow get rid of some words!. I like the images!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Addictions are much like a woman to a man, they both make you feel good for a while, then it's time to start over!. A cycle that is hard to break!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
