theyre taking over the teenage race
telling us always to stay in our place
taking away our freedom to express
so each day we have less and less
sit down shut up and listen
it feels like i'm stuck in a prison
no one listens to what i have to say
and i just go by each day
without living a life i was meant to
because its not something im supposed to do
they want to control me, conform me change who i am
but now i just dont give a damn
and this time i say they've gone too far
and i dont even know who 'they' are
who is it that chooses to obey
do everything that they say!?
well its not me anymore
im done being a conformist whore
i want to say what i think
even if that puts me on the brink
between being accepted
in polite society where i wont be respected
or choosing others like me
who are what they want to be
the ones hanging on the edge of it all
the ones who are about to fall
the people polite societies hate
because we don't discriminate
i want to be seen as an individual
not some silly little tool
for people to use for their own gain
i dont want to be the same
as those that blend in with the majority
