Well Ma(tm), I think you're on a winner!. Very nice!. I didn't like the 'winds of change' line because it's become something of a cliche and done to death through that 'rock anthem' released a few years ago!.

Otherwise, it gave me pause to think and admire!.

I agree with Michael B about "winds of change," maybe shorten up to just "in the wind"!? then the end, alter slightly to

hopes dashed
in the
same
tumultuous
breeze
