Question: Help with "The Soldier" poem!.!.!.!?
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England!. There shall be
In that rich earth a richer dust concealed;
A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware,
Gave, once, her flowers to love, her ways to roam,
A body of England's, breathing English air,
Washed by the rivers, blest by suns of home!.

And think, this heart, all evil shed away,
A pulse in the eternal mind, no less
Gives somewhere back the thoughts by England given;
Her sights and sounds; dreams happy as her day;
And laughter, learnt of friends; and gentleness,
In hearts at peace, under an English heaven!.

so hmmm ill try and speak from his point

today was scary my friends lifes where taken in front of my eyes
soilders are meant to be full of courage
i feel so weak
i can barly speak happy words
i kneel and pray for the friends i have lost
the only peice that kept me alive
i am dead inside
the tread that was holding me together had torn
there is nothing beside me to keep me from falling
the scolding oil that has burnt me has not
cut me more than this
i can see thier own blood soaked in the soil
when i travel back to my hut ,i must walk away with my spirit
left behind
they were so loveing they were so kindWww@QuestionHome@Com
