Question: Does love exist poem!. Comments welcome!.!?
true love does not exist
it's a myth
shattering like a glass slipped
from a hand
into a million pieces
as my heart
lying on the floor
to be swept up
and thrown to the trash
like it never mattered
shatteredWww@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Yes, true love does exist!.!.!.I have experienced it!.
When I was in Murano (an island of Venice, Italy), I visited a glass-blowing factory!. The unwanted pieces were shattered and then picked up to be placed back into the oven to be re-made into new blown glass creations!.
Just because something has been broken (or even shattered into many pieces) doesn't mean that it doesn't matter or that it can't be reconstructed into a thing of true beauty!.

I think of the weathered glass my mother used to pick up on the beach in the summertime!. She filled jar after jar with the colourful stuff and set it upon mantles and window sills!. In the winter, the glass seemed to sparkle in the sunshine, and made me warm!. I wonder where that glass came from!? Could it have been one or two in a million!? Regardless, I loved those jars of glass, for they contained a piece of history!.

True love does exist!
I experienced only once!.
I fell in love with his looks
Angel face, blonde hair, eyes gray

We united in marriage for ten heavenly years
yet, as roads meet roads or roads part roads
ours at the last moment,
was one we had taken never before

Neither of us broke each other's heart
we just drifted apart, parted
two years passed, till I understood
the beautiful life and our friendship is worth!.

Now he's a friend, remarried, divorced
he brought into this world a true angel
Felicity is her name; Felicity is her essence
I've loved her since my angel princess was born

Now after many years thus far
all I remember are the good things and thoughts
his angelic daughter by his ex-wife
I adore with un-bounded love

She is my princess noono,
she loves noodles
she is my princess as are
princes my two nephews!.

Pick up your heart
gently heal it free of unloved
to thrash it shall not go
it matters, sometimes it shatters, but never ever let it go

Well you're always gonna get the two schools arguing here!. The ones who are in and the ones who are out, see it very differently!. And while, I prefer to believe that it does, that does not negate the need to consider the reverse!. Especially in verse!. Poetry allows us to muse over the heartaches that love can cause, either by its very existence or its absence!. A nice, concise piece, without getting too maudlin!. ;?)Www@QuestionHome@Com

Suggestion:
Remove the statement "true love does not exist"
and replace with a different intro!.

Then no one will argue with your premise!.
They will instead marvel at your ability to
poetically express emotion with imagery!.

true love does exist

search your heart,
time for fresh start,
like a flower ready to bloom,
there is hope,no more gloom

true love is not
fragile like glass
it's in a different class
it will always stand test of time
i m ready to bet a dime!.

someone special is waiting for you
who will touch your soul, get down on his knees
and say i do!.

true love happens when least expected!.

Your poem, contrary to what it says, is the proof that true love exists!. It was even those phrases of despair that proved you have loved "Truly" and well!. For even in cases of "brokenheartedness" there is true love involved, or else, no heart will be broken!. Perhaps, what you bemoaned was "unrequited" love, the absence of a response worthy of the one that has been offered!. Indeed, even in cases of unfaithful love it is not a case of love being "untrue" but love not made to last!.

This is only to be philosophical about it!. Poetry is about expressing feelings!. Your poem is great with smooth flowing thought!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
