Question: What is a good word for the edge of a waterfall before it falls!?
A moment ago I posted a poem about frozen Niagara Falls and described "tumbling over the precipice" meaning the point of no return as the water drops over the falls!. But I am not happy with that word!.
My thesaurus really doesn't inspire me for some reason!.
Any suggestions!? obviously looking for a "poetic" noun!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I like the idea of the 'brink,' because it has many connotations!. also, 'rim' because it is used for outer space and will expand the idea of the water falling over the edge!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Bubble Crest evokes freedom, escape, a nice visual!.
also, in tandem with freedom, (above), it evades the
commitmeh (can't seem to ever say or spell that word)
of the overdemanding sense of the Weddih word (above, above)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
It is the declivity!. While at first this word seems too mechanical or sterile, if you repeat saying it a few times, it begins to sound like an Irish family name!. And I have always liked the Irish, and have fallen for several in my days!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
