tis not the time to weep For though its beauty has declined This land must surely sleep Within the serpents lair are born The lessons of the wise And you should dwell upon them well Before the sun does riseWww@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: It may denote a loss of impetus,such as when the land sleeps during the winter,until the warming and revitalizing rays of the sun begin to turn the frosts to water,bestowing renewed strength to all things!.Www@QuestionHome@Com wow!. thats totally awesome! if you wrote this its amazing!. but to me it means!. alot of people feel worthless or scared when the dark come!.!.!. and its saying theres nothing different about the dark, because everything must rest!. and the dark is like a "serpants lair" and you need to face it and learn "the lessons of the wise" thats what it means to me!. its epic!. :)Www@QuestionHome@Com It means to me!.!.!. that my best education comes from those who are as serpents!. I should not cry in the darkness but dwell on the lessons gleaned within its presence!. I enjoyed reading it very much!. I feel it rather than understand it or perhaps my difficulty lies in defining it with words!.Www@QuestionHome@Com The serpent hibernates in the winter, waiting for spring when it can enjoy a great bounty, so too, people must be patient and let a spring come into their lives when they can enjoy a great harvest, take advantage of opportunitiesWww@QuestionHome@Com first four lines have a peaceful feel, but the last four are in complete contrast to that tone - more of a threat or a warning - which makes it feel slightly uncomfortable but other than that (if they were maybe separate) i like it!Www@QuestionHome@Com you have something with in the grasps of your palms it means look and listen to some of the things people say it may be usefull and i dont get line 5!?Www@QuestionHome@Com Wisdom cannot be contained in a poem Or a book It only graces you When you take the time To let it!.!.!.!.
