Question: What do you think of this as a poem, it is about civil war!.!?
i close my eyes
and my mind does travel
back throughout time
to a gritty civil war battle

sparks fill the air as muskets fire
men young and old march in rows
and several of them fall and expire
each side being dealt heavy blows

as there is gun and cannon blasts
while each man runs with intent
of erasing their own old pasts
so each soldier is content

in knowing that they are right
which is why so many fall
right into an enemies sights
firing into the man like wall

the smokey air tastes like death
as the gunfire does take my breath
the bullet enters at a sharp angle
and between my guts it is tangled

i drop to the ground with a mouthful of red
mixing it with dirt and floor right where i bled
as i lay i look upwards towards the oncoming
while they come closer, death is beckoning

they trample my flesh to get to my friends
feeling heavy boots in my back and my end
i manage to turn to see each person attack
and now i hear screams as they run back

i think we've won, as time does slow
the man in red running at me uncaring
does not notice my crying face below
so as he takes each step so daring

his boot above my head about to crack
tears flowing like a waterfall in motion
i hear the loud snap, and through his back
a bullet emerges like mine without notion

the man who fired the shot helps me up
and back home is where i am brought
to be stitched back with no such interrupt
happy i survived, but happier that i fought

as i lie back in my bed
my mind takes flight
so i enter another head
as i sneak out at night!.!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Imaginative but neither artistic nor realistic!. Your forced rhyming limits you but your messages are still jumbledWww@QuestionHome@Com
