Perhaps if he was consistently given good poetry he would respond; it works for me!.!.!. You know, I realize that few here agree with Iano's observations (or perhaps are too proud or too lazy to be spurred on by them), and yes, his methods may not accord with your idea of civility, but he has moved the center of discourse outward a bit, has he not!? Why do you think that Mr!. Brotbeck has brought up the whole matter of learning the elements of poetry!? Because he is astute enough to realize that poetry is more than 'bleeding on the page,' it is a craft!. He wants you to learn to write better verse and not to be so smug and self-satisfied that you forget that your journey is the means to your destination and not its end!.!.!. he wants you to improve, for your sake and yes for his too! He wants the same thing Iano wants!! Next time you are ready to send one of these quick offerings out to the world, ask yourself if you have done everything you intended with your poem, or whether you are just seeking the approval of your peers!. Give Iano what you will, but if you do not heed my advice you will surely have given him the last laugh!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
