"Good Morning," a flat greeting I find
lacking in appropriate cheer!.
I'll use a phrase just said to me,

I think you are on to something here!.!.!.!."Good Morning" can sound rather flat!.!.!.!.and your "Today is here!" does sound somewhat more cheerful!. However!.!.!.!.I fear that this may not change the fact that I am *not* a morning person in general!

It is 4:40 pm here in the UK as I answer this question!.!.!.!.and, sad to say, I am still wondering if I have truly "woken up" at any point so far today!.

And my answer often to unsuspecting clerks is: " what's so good about it!?" After they regain their senses and see that I am smiling, we have a pleasant and 'real' conversation! Try it sometime!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

On really foul days I normally respond " That's not the adjective I was thinking of!." Normally gets a brief silence as the penny drops, followed by a smile!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I also don't mind good morning as long as it's heartfelt!. What bugs me is when someone just says "Morning!."Www@QuestionHome@Com
