Question: Wolf Poem, Comments welcome!!?
I wrote this one ages ago, but would love comments!

LOOK INTO MY EYES

Look Into my Eyes,
Tell me what you see,
Do you see the joy!?
Of a mate giving birth to her pups!?

Do you see the fear
As I watched a brother being killed!?

Do you see the tears that I cry!?

The tears I cry,
When I try and hear,
The voices I used to know,
The voices now long gone!.

We howled together at the moon,
We cried together,
When someone of us was doomed!.

We even cry today,
Because you do not know,
The pain we feel,
The tears we cannot show!.

Like the People,
You took our land,
Made it your own,
Drove us all away!.

We try to make you understand,
But life has dealt us one bad hand!.

We are dying,
Dying at your hand!.
But you do not see!.

Look into my eyes,
What is it that you see!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Great poem!.

It shows your empathy for these animals!. Again, your imagination comes through as you put yourself in the position of these misunderstood animals!.

Frankly I am more of a cat person than a dog, wolf or coyote person, but I can still identify with what you have expressed!. You are a gifted writer and I hope you continue to share!.

Sorry I haven't visited your poetry site more!. This has been a rather busy week!. I have had to pretty much limit myself to a quick scan of my e-mail at least daily!.

Very good! I love all animals with all my heart!. I can put myself in their place and feel their pain!. It is a shame that people think they have the right to end a animals life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Dani, this is beautiful!. In AZ it's more the coyotes than the wolves!. Poor things cross the interstates and city roads, looking for what once was theirs!.
