Question: Do you like my poem!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
Be honest I like critiques :)

the street is aglow with shimmering lights
As the too short of day
Fades into night

And as I look around at this place that I roam
I am filled with a warmth
You can feel only at home

Then I find myself, at a castle so bright
But as that light starts to fade
I am filled with much fright

But as it begins to sparkle once more
I'm amazed once again
By this place I adore

Then explosions of color over take the sky
And I gaze on in wonder
As each moment slips by

And as the end draws near to this breathtaking show
I find that my heart
Has begun to fill with woe

I head toward the gate, though grudgingly slow
Silently wishing
I didnt have to go

But before I depart, I engrave in my mind
The beautiful sights and sounds
I will be leaving behind

Now that fateful time has finally come
When reality awakens me
And once more I am glum

Hmmm!. It was only alright!. Some grammatical and diction choices that made the phrasing awkward, but nothing too horrible!.

Instead of focusing on that, let me ask you this- why did you write this poem!? What was it accomplishing!? If it was meant to be an inspirational poem, it needs to make others feel inspired!. If it was meant to help others relate to you, then it should be a bit more detailed so as to best show who you are!. If it was meant be solely a release of emotions for you, then why does it matter what others think about it!?

I advise you to find a reason to write this poem, whether it be for yourself or others, and make it accomplish that purpose!. Too often, poems are written 'just because' without really having a reeason, and thus these poems truly are 'meaningless'!. As of now, I see no reason for others to read this poem!.!.!. That's definitely something that should be changed!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I LOVED it!.It was SO beautiful!! Honestly I have to say I can relate to your poem!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
