Question: Can you hear the Wood speaking to you!?
The wood has many voices and no man,
Not even a companion hears the same voice!.
Man cannot know her unless he understands
Her!. Trees speak as we walk beneath their
Leafy canopy, yet who is there that understands
The language with they speak!. Who is there
That can hear the sap rise within the trunk
Of the oak or the beech, when the beat of
Our their own heart drowns out that which
Would be more pleasing to the ear!.
Having the time to stand and think yourself
As part of the wood is one of life's sweetest
Luxuries!. Yet it asks no question and gives
No answers, it will accommodate us but
Can just as easily do without us!. Does the
Mountain keep that which we throw at it
In voice, no, it throws it right back seven
Fold!. It does not need us to speak but to
Listen, and to listen again to catch the sound
Of its breathing for the mountain is alive as
Is the wood!. Nature can be like an ocean,
Monotonous only to the ignorant!. In the end
We conserve only what we love!. We will
Love only what we understand, and understand
Only that what the woods, the mountains, rivers,
Fields teach us, even a blade of grass if only
We use the power of our brain!.

I can feel the purity in the dripping leaves, their cries do bound upon their homes!. May it be that such a display of righteousness and believe is not commented upon!? The answer, that you seek my friend, is in the form of a question!. Must every question have an answer!? Truly not!. The love that we see from mother nature, the sway of the pines, the smell of the oaks, they bring us heaven!. These giants pull down the graciousness that we all quest for!. A wonderful poem my friend!. I do however find no intricate errors that a young man and mind myself can correct!. Therefore I thank you for blessing me with this wonderful work and may the green smell whisper to your ears yet again!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I have lived much of my life in the trees!. I love to sit and lean against the trunk of an ancient oak and watch and listen!. You can hear the leaves fall in autumn!. You can hear the animals as they scurry across the ground and through the branches!. The sunlight dances between leaves and make a kaleidoscope of images on the ground, and the limbs!. There is so much beauty there, in solitude, but not alone, the living breathing entities are there with you, speaking if you will but listen!. Your piece has touched me!. I have been there!. If I were a monarch, I would appoint you Sir Robert, Knight Poet of the realm!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Robert, this is a wonderful poem because it speaks of that great mystery that lies seemingly just beneath the surface of the phenomena of Nature; there is a wisdom there beyond words, one we can understand -- after a fashion -- but can never fully relate; yet the mystery, once revealed, abides within us, indeed is in us and runs through us as we ourselves partake of that same mystery!. You have spoken eloquently of that mystery, which has absorbed my thoughts a great deal of late!. In the face of something so grand, and ultimately ineffable, we should perhaps listen and forego speech altogether; you have written and brought all who read here a little closer to a great truth!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

So beautifully written!.We have just had our Indian Summer here in Canada!.An Native told me, you don't have Indian Summer till after the first snowfall were the heavy snow clings to the bark of the tree like a blanket looking for warmth!.Then there will be 5 to 10 days of nice weather!.This is when the Indians broke camp and headed to their winter camping grounds!.
We are now into winter and the woods are alive with sounds, if we only take the time to listen!.I am fortunate to live 2 houses away from a wooded area!.I try to walk at least once a week along the path!.You can see squirrels nests, racoons, owls,a hawk's nest!.Blue jays, cardinals,
chick-a-dees, and sparrows everywhere you turn!.They start to chatter as soon as I step foot into their paradise!.I walk softly and feel blessed that I can share this little bit of heaven with them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
