So far, I have never blocked anyone from responding to my posts!. Do you think that people who post poems on a public forum and invite comment are being just a little "wimpy" when they block someone for not tickling their ego with flattery!? Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Irrespective of blocking, I'm beginning to think that this site may be for wimps!. The poetry here is not strong, pure, or robust!. It travels in orbits of ever-decreasing radius, until it disappears from the bowl entirely; yes, blocking is an aggravation, and I am concerned that many who could benefit the most from an honest critique of their efforts are unwilling to receive the same!. I refuse to name names, but they know who they are!.!.!. I call them all cowards! If you are not willing to take your obligations seriously as a writer, you should not expect glowing praise!. That amounts to a form of infantilization!. I am in no mood to diaper adults, or to pat them on the head!. I want to read poetry, not as they define and defend it, but as poets do!. Yes, blocking is for wimps, but writing poetry -- real poetry -- is not!.
