cemetery eyes
digging graves in my soul
cold as the arctic
blacker than coal
steel edges staring
once glowing with youth
now appear hollow
and long in the tooth
blinding frustration
a maniacal haze
facing the mirror
holding my gaze
examining all
leaving nothing unseen
cradle to coffin
and what lies in between
