The Scare E-Fairy Got me on Halloween

It's Halloween Day and I got me a card
Sent by E-fairy and it made me laugh hard
Why does this day make people go wacko
Howl to the moon, start dancing like "Jacko"!?
What does this day of "All Hallows" truly mean!?
How did it become "Tick or Treat" Halloween!?
It's crazy, it's silly and all things in between
I got given an E-card saying Happy Halloween!

I just heard on TV this morning - that Halloween was when the dead (ghosts) - came to the world of the living - and counted and selected souls that would die in the upcoming year!. Pumpkins were carved (Jack O'Lanterns) to scare the ghosts away!. This is one explanation I had not heard before - so I thought I would pass it on!. "Happy Halloween" - I guess - means "glad you scared away the ghosts" - or gave the kids candy !?!? ? Www@QuestionHome@Com
