What could I have done
I looked on at you and cried
Sometimes I would simply run and hide
Inside you was a fading sun
I was only a child when
it all started for both of you
I always thought you’d make it through
and now my thoughts are laid down by this pen
We were never that close
But still I feel empty here
Emptier with every tear
I’ll live everyday with this woe
I think now of the things you will miss
things you saw for others but not for me
how do I know how happy you’d be
do you even appreciate this
You both mean the world to me
I saw you fade away into nothing
Truth be told that has changed me
But it has made me stronger for you
No longer do you have to suffer
No longer must you be apart
No longer are things hurting you
No longer are you scared of us!.
