Position:Home>Poetry> Can you feel winter coming and see beauty in the season?Question: Can you feel winter coming and see beauty in the season!? Eyes seeing colors Shades of orange, yellow, red Dancing in my head Morning air steaming Swirling outside my windows Like spirits dancing Wind crisply nibbles On my extremities bare Winter soon will be Wish I could snow ski Might then enjoy the winter The cold white landscape Winters cold kisses Leave me chilled and seeking warmth Let me fly south now With Canada goose Join their ranks and navigate The season to escape Www@QuestionHome@Com Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: I have taken the bait and am being gently pulled through haiku after haiku, and I see the beauty that surrounds me as I never have!. I love Southern California, the heat, the winds, all of it!. But your poetry has drawn a lovely picture that takes me into the crystals of snow, and I don't mind the chill!. This is beautiful!.t Www@QuestionHome@Com For the poem, it is very nicely put! For the Winter, the mountains of Utah remind me of the beauty of snow, but also they reminds me of slippery Icy roads, and snow-tires, and the cold that chills the bones!. I love the three other seasons!. Www@QuestionHome@Com As this is only a poem with three lines in each stanza, I think it would have been an easy matter to have had the first and third lines rhyme!. The second line in the third stanza may be better read as "On my bare ears or fingers"!. or even "At the tip of my nose"!. For all that It is quite a picturesque write!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This is very clever to create a poem with a series of Ameri-Kus!. It appears the poet has ambivalent feelings regarding approaching winter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com Last line has 6 syllables but all is cool because this string of Ku's rocks!Www@QuestionHome@Com When I read it, it was kind of like "umm!.!.!.what is she talking about!?" Www@QuestionHome@Com Yes, It takes my breath away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com |
