Question: Are these words appropriate for this site!? I won't call it a poem!.!.!.!?
I would rather you robbed me of my skin!.
My words are mine and I'm only going to borrow them to you!. You can keep them forever if you like, but you keep them all!. You can disregard the "BAD" words, but they are there, lurking like unwanted children on the street-corners of Poverty City!.
I would rather you pillaged my guts!.
Freedom means never having to say anything!. A cursory glance my way is enough!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Those words are ever so appropriate for this site!.

Although, I'm no longer sure what and how to post on this site!. It seems it has become a lose/lose situation!.

So now where do we go!?

<--- Is that a cursory glance!?

First off, I think your skin would be too big for me and would probably clash with the rest of my wardrobe, so your safe there!. Secondly, Why can't we all just SHARE your words!? Kinda like the penny tray next to the cash register--take what you need and leave what you don't!. Thirdly, by "BAD" do you mean curse words, or just words that mess up the syntax of a sentence!? And finally, there is no need for anybody to pillage your guts!. You are spilling them all the time!.

This is better than Robert Hayden's stuff!.

"When it is finally ours, this freedom, this liberty, this beautiful
and terrible thing, needful to man as air,
usable as earth; when it belongs at last to all,
when it is truly instinct, brain matter, diastole, systole,
reflex action; when it is finally won; when it is more
than the gaudy mumbo jumbo!.!.!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

I really like this!. And I do think that lend should be used in the second line because you are "lend"ing your words to us not "borrow"ing the words from us!. At the bottom you used them both correctly!. Lend your words, borrow mine!. I would love to use this with my English students when we do poetry!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you mean "lend" or "loan", not "borrow"!.

Oops! While I was typing my answer, someone else got in first!. Strictly speaking, incidentally, if people can keep them then you're giving, not lending!. (Unless you want to get really pedantic and call it "on permanent loan"!.)

if I ever lose my mouth
I won't have to talk no more!."

The words are internal!. We do not need to speak, only to write!.You may borrow mine any time as I have borrowed your 'words and lines!.'

I like borrow!. It's redolent of playgrounds and woods and promises and secrets!. The bad words too!.

Death to the deleters and I'll scratch your intials in my arm if you will too!. Pass the candy!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's great; deeply insightful and highly original!. I would be inclined to substitute "lend" for "borrow" but that's all!.
