When I got there he was sitting on a folding chair next to Meredith, nodding his head at all the right times!. She just kept talking and ranting and John kept nodding his head!. He had on a pair of old moon boots with the silver paint mostly flaked off them!. His faded flannel shirt was unbuttoned all the way, exposing a Boston Red Sox t-shirt with the an 'S' added to "Boston" and the 'S' blacked out of "Sox"!. "Boston's Red Ox"!. He looked slightly crazed, and his right eye twitched with every nod!. Meredith stopped ranting and turned her gaze towards me!. I saw the eye first, then the swollen lip!. Someone had beat the shitt out of her, fairly recently from the looks of it!. Pity the bastard who did it if Boston's Red Ox decided to get involved!. She smiled at me and showed three less teeth than she had a week ago!. My stomach knotted with shame, shame for what happened to her and the shame of knowing how it felt to do that to someone!. I said hello to John and smiled back at Meredith, but that's as far as I got!. The old-timer was heading towards the front with a cup of coffee in his hand, a signal for the rest of the drunks!. I took my seat in the middle of the bank of chairs in the last row and waited for some more stories!. And lies!. Always lies!. He is to be told lies and is not to be out done, may tell some of his own!. Of course, I don't think the curse word is needed!. A simple badly beaten would suffice with me!. The first must be walked away from!. Who said that a Poet can't write a Mystery, the Agatha Kristie scheme, in a poetic sense, which would promote more suspense!? Your thirst for tiny details in this story, would encourage some one like Oliver Stone to consider the remake of JFK! Who 'd say, then, all stories are lies!? I don't run from confrontation when I cause it, but I 'd withdraw gently otherwise!.!.Sometimes, however, we can't get by, just upon a smile!.Www@QuestionHome@Com This verse is absolutely mind boggling!.!.!.(after reading it three times) Both fascinating and filled with intrigue!.!.!.It is the author whom places the wounds on Meredith, yes!? re: my stomache knotted with shame!. Did she not respond to your smile!? and where if anyplace did the body language go afterwards!? Simply stunning to cause the diversion regarding the old timer!.!.!.!. and his gaze for recognition from his friends,amazing!. Such diversion!. I remain!.!.!.both dumbfounded and captivated!.
