Whisper In The Ear
Fascinating pieces of paper
all put together, as if to say
“you cant break us apart”
but this saying is deceiving
you can truly break them apart
all you need is a functioning brain
a working set of eyes
and a little room up there for wonder
as this “package” wraps up in your head
you seem to feel people
they don’t exist, you know that
but that little space in your mind
is where they dwell
going through their daily conundrums
language, spoken in a form that only you can hear
you are glad of this, you have companions
when one passes away, you feel pain for them
why is this!?
a bond has been created
by your fragile yet powerful mind
some make you angry
others entice your passion for love, or lust
whatever they bring about, they will be there forever
waiting hand in foot for your mighty word
to call upon them, the assistants of your mind
