Question: When you get these feelings, what do you do!?

Listen or Ignore!?

Foreboding apprehension hovers about
spilling tension both inside and out
I swat at it like bothersome fly
but won't go away nor tell me why!.

Dread these feelings, always come true,
sticking with me like fearsome glue
the waiting and waiting drives me so crazy
having this vision yet staying too hazy!.

Hands are tied so set spirit free
to loved ones who hapless target may be
to cover with His protective shroud
till the passing of this dreaded cloud!.

I close one eye when I see "you've got mail"
knowing soon your message will surely tell
confirming what I already knew
you felt a spirit help you get through!.

Yes, this gift is both a blessing and curse
the burden it carries makes days much worse
but 'tis an honor to be Divinely used
with His love our connection is firmly fused!.

Foreboding dogs me too some days
But, I suspect it has a physical cause
Because it melts away (unfounded)
Or, perhaps, I've got a 'get-out' clause!?
I feel as if a cloud is hovering

No sunshine can penetrate this barrier
And the air feels heavy as lead!.
But
'You've got mail' or 'Kirstie's on the phone'
Normally, only brings good things
My feelings aren't premonitions
They're inexplicable mood swings!.

I think you're talking about things that God tells you about the future, usually about your family!. God tells me things, too, and some of them are good (like that my sister is going to have a baby!) and some not so good (I always know, with certainty, who will die next in our family!. I'm always right, and the next person up has broken my heart!. I wish I didn't know!.)
There is nothing to do except ask God why He has told you about these things!. Maybe you can be of help to the person or people who will be affected!. Maybe you can prepare them gently!. Pray for them!. Maybe, who knows, God will change the course of the future!. He certainly can, but I don't know if He will!. I think that is why we get these premonitions; we KNOW what will happen, so we can help, but change is not possible!.
You are actually in a good position!. Hardly anyone can see the future, and you can!. Use the gift that you have to brighten the lives of the people who may be affected, and do what you can to ease their burden!. Are there things you can do to make the pain less when these prophetic thoughts do come to pass!?
