Try Countee Cullen!. I've linked to a website with a couple of his poems in the sources box!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"Three Songs About Lynching" (three parts titled, "Silhouette," Flight" and "Lynching Song"--the last part being perhaps the most immediate and socially pained poem I've ever read) and "I, Too, Sing America" by Langston Hughes!.

I, Too, Sing America
By Langston Hughes

I, too, sing America!.

I am the darker brother!.
They send me to eat in the kitchen
When company comes,
But I laugh,
And eat well,
And grow strong!.

Tomorrow,
I'll be at the table
When company comes!.
Nobody'll dare
Say to me,
"Eat in the kitchen,"
Then!.

Besides,
They'll see how beautiful I am
And be ashamed--

I, too, am America!.

I would post "Three Songs About Lynching" but the language is perhaps a bit much for other readers!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
