Question: Would you please comment on a morning thought!?

Encapsulated

Enclosed by a protective covering
new infant emerges from womb
mothers in the animal world
instinctively lick to remove
placenta from their young
thus releasing them to life!.

Yet, it's ironic, is it not
we spend the rest of our time
looking for someone or some thing
to offer lost protective covering
seeking to be encapsulated again!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, it seems a bit ironic -but it really isn't!. The mother knows that the protection offered by the womb is different than the protection which is needed in life!. Children are protected by their families, clothing protects from the elements!. Devices such as helmets protect the cyclist, air bags protect the motorist, special clothing protects police & firefighters!. Drugs, sunblock and condoms offer forms of protection!. Protection is sought in religion, in governments, in gangs, in armies!. Yes, protection is something we all need and want, but as we grow it is no longer a "one size fits all" type!.

I think that is very good! It really explains beautifully that tension between wanting to be a good parent, yet knowing that we don't own our children, and we must step back and let them experience the world for themselves!. Yet nothing is harder than watching them make their own mistake, being inevitably scarred and bruised from the world, and wanting nothing more than to protect them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

GOD said in the Bible "it is not good for man to be alone, I will create woman"!. HE stated too that man needed a "helpmate"!.

Basic human nature dictates being attracted to the opposite sex!. "Be fruitful and multiply"!.

Humans want to be loved!. Look at the world of nature and the same thing goes on with all mammals!. Even all creatures in the world seek out mates from bugs to fish to reptiles, to mammals/humans!.

GOD made up this way so that's got to be my answer!.

Don't you EVER stop posting in Poetry! It's in your soul! I LOVE this one although I'm SO glad I didn't have to lick my newborn daughter when she was born!! EEWWW! even the crotchedly, irritable meanies could do with a good hugging if you could get close enough to touch them!.
