Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
Write about how you couldn't think of anything!.
Like this:

Here I am thinking, of what to write,
All alone in the cool breeze of night!.
Thinking of love, sadness, it's all cliche,
Wishing I could think of a poem right away!.

It's kinda shabby, but it will give you something to work from!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My Poem

I had to write a Poem
my teacher told me to
I don't now how to write one
but hope this one will do

I had to find a title
and decide on whether to
make it rather funny, or
make you feel blue!.

I had to choose the format
to rhyme or use free verse
I think that rhyme is corny
but that free verse is worse

I thought about a poem
portraying love and passion
or about global conflict
or even celebs and fashion!.

I almost wrote my poem
while lazing in the sun!.
But I could not be bothered
I'd rather have detention!.

I wrote a little poem
to explain exactly why
I did not write a Poem!.
and did not even try!.

Based upon the details in your question, I'm assuming you're having a hard time picking what to write about because you're afraid that your classmates will ridicule you!. This is a common problem!.

Given the short time you have, I would write about the fear you're feeling and include the fact that other people in the class probably feel the same way!.

Perhaps you could include mentioning that in your writing!.

You could start off with something like this:

Here I am, once again,
Danielle in the lion's cage!.

Thrown before my peers,
by someone that means well,
but who may have forgotten the
laughter from when they too were my age!.

Those of you who laugh, I see as clowns!.
Those of you who listen, I see as friends!.

Laugh clowns laugh!.
Your time will come!.

Listen friends listen!.
You will always be my friends!.

I don't think you have to use this exact poem, but imagine yourself standing in front of class and the words will come to mine!.

For example:

Here I am again!.
Standing in front of Billy the turd with nowhere to go!.

In short, have fun with this!. Perhaps it would help to know that when you're afraid of something, it's an indication that you're learning something very fast!.
