Question: Good modern poets/poems!?
I'm looking for some good modern poets or good modern poetry!. I'm familiar with TS Eliot and a lot of his works, so I'm interested in some of his contemporaries and their famous works!.

I know that like, Ezra Pound and EE Cummings were of the same era and movement!. I just don't know what their best work is!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

HELLO CANADA

When I was invited to CANADA they told me……………

‘’ CANADA IS CALLING ME’’

Be bold, it’s not so cold ,as you wont it to be,

Have your journey from wherever you be,
Come to Canada and for yourself see,
The beauty that nature does grant ,
The lovely feelings of love the Canadians supplant ,

Be bold it’s the best of summers,
Yes the best of winters too and spring!.!.
As for autumn there is no comparison
In the cloudy weather and morning dew,
Its lovely weather for all of you!.

There is plenty of water, hot and cold
There is no failure of electricity I was told ,
And there is plenty to eat, drink and be merry,
Enjoy strawberries, peaches and the best of cherry,

Come to Canada its not so cold, be bold!.

Just as I was about to land,
The welcome I thought will be with a band!.
They came, to receive me, I was really happy,
But the arrival was none, that too snappy!.
It was so warm there was no storm,
And the people all around were kind,
Of my youth they all did me remind !.

Come to Canada be bold, it’s not so, very, very cold!.

I stepped out of the air- port,
The brightness was all sun – shone,
And after another moment it was all gone!.
When I landed there was no cloud,
The Canadians were, ever so proud!.
Suddenly they came from somewhere,
Heaven really knows from where!.

A little more up the highway it began to rain,
I thought it was some passing train!.
And to prevent the shiver, the car was on Heat,
Ere I wanted to already quickly retreat!.

Come to Canada be bold, it’s lovely warm and not so cold!.

As I entered the room for my nights’ stay
There was warmth all, all the way!.
And then truly I was happy to be in Canada,
After all 'twas warm and sunny, even in the veranda!.

Come to Canada be bold, it’s not so really cold!.

Today there is no power there is no hot water,
There in is no tea, nor any coffee,
As all are anxiously waiting for electricity!.
Do not bathe its not needed , it’s not so warm,
also there is no wind, nor even a storm!.

Do not go out today, you may freeze,
The wind is blowing and really it’s cool breeze!.
If you step out you may feel the chill,
Come to Canada and stay indoors still,
Enjoy ice skating, swimming and dance,
And of course friendly, just friendly, romance!.

Be bold it’s not really, that really, that cold!.

Yes I have got used to power failure now,
I am a part of Canada and so I can now, well say……!.!.

‘’ Come to Canada, its not at all cold,
But my friend just be bold, really bold!.’’

Ah, ah, ah, the power failure has been restored,
No more hot food need now be stored!.
The tea is boiling, coffee is too hot,
I am at Tim Horton’s, this I’d really forgot!.

Come to Canada it’s a warm day, not so cold ,
Yes friend, now we know, you are bold!.

It’s minus 30 outside but do not dismay,
The electricity will not go away,
The politicians have had their say!.
So stay in Canada, yes please, do stay!.

Come to Canada its warm, be bold, it’s not at all so cold

Some Summers Past
Some summers past, we were standing,
For each others’ better halves waiting,
It was then our eyes did glance,
And their arrival we forgot perchance!.

It was then your eyes met mine again,
Yes it was some summers past,
We smiled and blushed
At each others arms we thrust!.
It was as if a moment God sent,
It was our summer at the end!.

That day we still remember till today,
When we met that summers' day,
Ever since we have been two souls
Yet only in one, since that summer,
Yes it was the summer of our lives,
A long remembered association,
At last we built upon a union!.

Still today you know, we remember that day,
When we met for a long life’s stay,
Yes my sweetheart it was the summer

It was the best of life’s summers,
If we both can say
It was over a few decades ago,
But for us it is still as if
It was just yesterday!.
Yes many summers have passed away!.
!.
KISS ME MISS
Miss, Miss, do give me a kiss,
Kiss, kiss, I do not wanna miss
Sis, where is your sis, I’ll give her a kiss

Then they say how one kisses, any way
What is French and what is American
What kiss is Japanese and what really is Chinese,
It’s all in ones imagination,

Those who are racial
Or have feelings of being commercial
Do not know how far a kiss can go
Even there down below!.

Yes Miss can help, miss a train for you!.
Just kiss and kiss and kiss
do not let any go amiss!.
And you will see
That all kisses are for free

Yes before foreplay and after,
Even after any earthly disaster,
It’s a kiss that one hankers for
Since time's gone by for centuries for sure!.
Now go ahead and kiss your dear,
Yes my friend without any fear,
Oh this secret message of kiss,
do not unfurl to your kissing miss!.
