Beware the cannibal within
Who frets and picks at the unhealed,
Who commits solipsistic sin,
Whose blood is blackened and congealed!.

Beware the mad dog deep inside
Who, once unchained, in freedom runs
Round separate cells and nerves untied—
All eyes you'll see are frightened ones!.

Restore with care fragile facade
Of heretic heredity
At which all strangers, passing, nod!.
This face you wear is all they'll see!.

To harmonize your bent thought-form
Breathe all of goodness which you are—
Untethered by the social norm,

In the first two stanzas this difference is described as something evil and dark, maybe because you think it is, then in the third stanza this is covered up by a mask!. The forth stanza takes a complete tonal shift from being very negative to very positive!. So being different, having this ability to resist normality is good and you will go far!.

I understand you completely - I consider myself to be like this!.
but I must admit its actually so difficult being this way if you do not understand it!. Yes you know more than ordinary people but do not believe you know everything or refuse to extend love to people!. Mellow it down a bit by being modest and be open to other people's opinions!. Its so easy to become too intelligent when you are already intelligent!. So aim for balance and remember to accept everything you see in others (all their flaws) and extend love and guidance when you feel it is right to!. I think what you describe yourself as is an enlightened and beautiful being!. You have an indigo aura like me and when you master you gifts you can heal other people and act like a mirror so that when bad people talk to you they see themselves!. This is why you will find it hard to be accepted and liked but don't let this deter you from making really good friends!. there are lots of other good people out there!. As it is what I write is a perfect reflection of my own feelings and own needs - this is me!. When I write it is completely sincere and clear just like a mirror on the page!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It is not only okay, but necessary for some!. "So learn to fly and travel far" really hit me, as a victim of incest, that was the only means of escape!. And I know full well the face one has to wear, hoping no one will see how "different" you are, the shame being the cannibal within!. Must we beware the cannibal within, the mad dog!? Or you!? Are you frightened that unleashed they will devour you, or at the least change you so much that outsiders will be scared of you!?

I have a feeling that you're making a reference to being a gothic person!. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's what I'm sensing!. Either way, it's more than okay to be different! We all are different!. Even identical twins are the most uniquely designed individuals you'll ever meet! Don't let anyone make you think you don't have the right to be you!. Just because you have a certain style, does not mean you are any less human or worthy of love and acceptance than everyone else! What looks normal to the human eye isn't always as it appears! An appearance really only tells a portion of a story! Don't be afraid to be friendly! If they want the real deal, invite them to explore your personality!
