Question: Is it too cold to go riding today!?

THE WHITE MARE
by TD Euwaite

She’d been ridden bareback before,
I don’t know why she was so skittish with me…
She used a tree, a fence, a silo,
trying to rub me off!.

I pulled away the rest of her tack
and grabbed her by the mane,
She had never been
without bit and bridle before!.

As she started to warm up to the idea
we walked, then trotted, then galloped!.
Before I knew it, we were flying!.
I seemed to float over her back,
And she ran like the wind…

*****

Now we're both on foot!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Riding bareback - gives one a sense of "how it should be"!. We often think - that horses were "meant" to be ridden in this manner!. It might be so - however - the sense of freedom and oneness is often parted by an experienced horse and novice rider!. Your story states that both partners - were new to this - therefore - the first feeling must have been true bliss - possibly followed by an earthly kiss!.

THE ORANGE YOINK
by Pooya Nixphoe
~~~~~~
She’d been ridden between my legs,
on her back carrying me
She used two wheels, a clutch, and the wind,
trying to climb up the hill!.
I pulled away from the rest of the pack
and grabbed her by the bars,
She threw me off when I pinched her front brakes
And sent me sailing far!.
As I picked up my roadrashed hide from the floor
we walked the rest of the way!.
Her bars were bent, and cables were torn!.
Little gravel bits imbeded in my back,
And we limped down the hill…
Now I ride a recumbent trike!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
I've been at full gallop in a wheat field that was knee high to an Appaloosa and we hit a gopher hole!.
I was as free as the wind, over his neck, he was just a bit
pissed but still, okay!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
