Question: Help with poetry please ! !?

Hey there,

I'm working on a poetry presentation about figures of speech!
So far, I decided to mention their importance and what they add to a poem!.!.!.
can you think of any other interesting ideas I can discuss!?

And I have another question: Why is Poetry critically relevant in our society!?
I need to know different ideas and point of views!

hmm!.!. well u can tlk about conventions lyk metaphors,similes, personification, or repetition etc!.!.
not sure!.
but i recon its relevant in society coz it emphasises the problems/values/attitudes presented in society, making people aware of things and question if it reinforces or challenges their own ideologies!.

i dunno!.!.!. but you could try finding an example of figures of speech in a poem and then try and write an alternative poem that has the same meaning without figures of Speech in it!. this could show how figures of speech make poems more interesting!.
you could also do this for a couple or even one line if doing a whole poem seems to hard!.
