Question: Is this perhaps a bit too edgy!?
The Edge

A blade defines an edge,
oblivion on either side!.
Perhaps even duality
as Solomon’s call!.

A word or words also
will define with an edge
and slice deeper still
than fine Toledo steel!.

So, if you seek an edge
beware the razor waiting
for it cares not the holder,
it slices… both ways!.

Indeed, the word is a sword that one needn't swing, for the reader will fling themselves upon it, yet still, blame the writer!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

You taunt me with your taste for the touch!. Don't mock me! I have been long before and will be long after!. You are here for reasons unknown to me and I care not!. This release you seek is not to be found in the thin edge you walk on!. Have you read my bio!. Checked my credits!. I claim as I choose not at your hand!. When ready the flow will drown you with glorious light of white!. The only crimson for you is in dawns light and dusks glow!. Now go set this thinly veiled notion to rest and be done with your cutting innuendo!. Don't taunt me!. I am not ready for you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The pen being the blade, the writer must take care not to slice the page, but to gently carve breathtaking art in the form of words!.!.!.
That's my take on it!.
Good morning!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Good metaphor of the razor blade for words!. Yes, they slice deeply when used to hurt/attack!. They also penetrate deeply when used in love!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I suppose the sharp word is the same as a sharp tongue, for my first wife had a tongue sharp enough to decapitate a walrus with one utterance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Wow! the razors edge, Well done Neon, and not too edgy!.
To bite my tongue I had to practice! Better to say what we mean and mean what we say, without regret!. KudosWww@QuestionHome@Com

Truly natural natural criterion of universal elements, even those we deeply cherish such as love and beauty could be lethal!
Well penned!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes it is because it used metaphor in almost all parts of it, or to be more specific, it uses direct comparison!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
