Question: Would you comment on PG-rated Sunday Seduction !?

Sunday Seduction

my “bestest friend” is on her way over,
she drives, I cook is the agreement,
too much of life has long passed us by,
this, our usual reunion, Sunday lunch!.

yellow sweet potatoes roasted,
cooling, waiting for my touch,
dark maple syrup, pecans, spices,
all anticipating a blending!.

loin of pork facing time on the grill,
richly fragrant cider marinade,
hickory chips smoking,
timer set, counting down!.

yesterday’s freshly picked fruit,
apples red and tart, pears so sweet,
cored all, not peeled, barely simmering,
dash of lemon, sticks of cinnamon!.

fresh rosemary bread quietly rising,
hidden beneath a towel, no drafts,
not a loaf to be, pull aparts, my desire,
golden brown, hot with butter gobs!.

a bottle of wine, quiet conversation,
piano playing in the background,
smiling easily while candles scent,
hugs, touches, quite natural display!.

sliced pork over wilted greens,
sweet potato soufflé,
apple and pear compote,
gingerbread completes this offering!.
