Question: Do trees talk to you!?
Lesson Taught

Forceful wind greeted me
on morning walk with dogs
juniper, aspen and the pines
how gracefully did they bend
do not fear, they said to me
we've seen winds much worse
yet note how tall we all grow!?
It's this lesson we have learned
always bend, standing strong
and never
fight
the wind!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

There is such a sweet lesson to be learned from the bending of trees in your poem!. If we are flexible and can gracefully adapt to circumstances, they cannot break us!. The younger the sapling, the more it bends, for the more strength you have in your core, the more you can withstand!. Lovely poem!. Thank you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The wind
the fire
the water
and the land
are some of the few things
trees speak of
and understand
it is true
thy do speak
and even feel
the touch of my hand
one time
a teacher tree told me
about a lesson
extracted from the valleys sand

love is like the wind
it could give you wings
take you to the forbidden horizons of dreamland
or just simply bury you right where you stand

and that's how i learned
never to fight the wind

Nice one - today it's just "W" and the ongoing financial storms - BUT [and I hate to be the party pooper] the real acid test is yet to come: let's see if the juniper, the aspen and the pines can survive the McCain/Palin Shock Waves and/or Nuclear Winter!.

Oh and there is plenty more where this came from, but let's spare "them" trees the unnecessary McPainful bending:

Trees used to talk to me all the time!. They would creak and groan and say "get down", but I didn't start listening until they decided to let limbs break and send me to the ground from great heights!. Now I stay out of them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I talk to my trees!
We have had some really bad thunderstorms here this summer and I would tell them how strong and beautiful they were!. That it was good to be bendy, but not to let the wind break them!. They are all still with me!!Www@QuestionHome@Com
