Explanation;

The symbol of Awen is a glyph with three vertical rays converging at the top!. The three rays symbolise the male and female aspects of inspiration with the central ray representing their harmonious synergy!.
The symbol itself is representative of the way of the Bard or poet/storyteller!. The word Awen in Gaelic means 'Inspiration' or 'Essence' particularly in the poetic sense!.
The symbol was purportedly an ancient celtic symbol to represent the entire Ogham alphabet but was probably invented in the eighteenth century by the welsh poet, historian and druid, Iolo Morganwg, in his book the Mabinogion!. Nevertheless, it has beeen adopted inthe Bardic tradition as meaning poetic inspiration and is the 'force' that performance storytellers invoke when about to recite!.
I think this would be an entirely appropriate symbol for a place dedicated to poetic and literary inspiration!.
