Question: Is you town like my town or do I live in the smallest town ever! Does this give you a good view of my town!?
My Town

Hills and valleys are all around
In this place I call My Town!.

Two caution lights on the main street
Why worry, no cars ever do meet!

It's very small and has a name
But has so far reached no fame!.

We have a store or two around here
That sells everything from eggs to beer!.

A restaurant, a bank and a pizza place
All do their best to set our pace!.

Some schools, many churches we do have
And at the drug store you can buy your salve!.

We don't have a mayor or a chief or police
Just a Constable to keep our peace!.

We move slow and enjoy each other
We know your brothers, sisters and mothers!.

Sometimes we will just stop in the road
To talk, well really just to unload!.

Just honk your horn and we will get gone
We will move on and finish it at home!.

Neighbors help neighbors in our little town
We lift each other up when we are down!.

I have lived here all of my days on earth!.
We've seen death and we've seen birth!.

It's growing, growing our little town
There are new people and houses all around!.

I wish it would stay the size it as today
But growth and progress is here to stay!.

Sadly enough I do not!.!. I have lived in small towns!.!. they have benefits as well as downfalls!. One thing they do have is the abiltiy to know your neighbors and grow to understand them!.
Community spirit!.
I do not know my neighbors!. I recognize them, I wave at them sometimes!.!. I may even have a short conversation with one, but they keep to them selves and I do likewise!.!.
so sad!.!. eh!?

You took me there for a moment!. You follow a simple model, smooth flowing, putting the elements of dense picture in sequential pattern (images, sounds, and motion), and a twist in the end!. Ah! also the natural flow of rhyme!. Some how, we do share the same wish, but that is life!

wow, wat a great poem, if you live in a small town, this poem is really vivid and brings back memories!. I have lived in the same smal-town in Maine for all 22 years of my life, and I can relate in your poem on every single line!

Great job, it reminds me so much of my town (population of about 4,000 year round residents)!.

My current residence
With population of 1K
New houses and new streets are a'coming
No stores
There is one in the town next door
No post office
For we share a post office
With the town that has 4!.7K in population
We have one restaurant
That is made of log cabin
No stop lights
Just series of stop signs
A daycare
But no schools
My street
Has two churches
Just driving seconds apart
A neighbor told me
When I first moved down
People tend to keep to themselves
In this neighborhood
The cross street next to me
A small side street
Everyone is related
That street is graveled
Graveled roads is what I love
When in the country
I used to be a major city area resident
But life circumstances took me away
But at least it is college town
And there is some excitement
For smalltown area
And includes a nice beach
Which I learned this summer
Comes with rocks to discover in the water in the sand
Some of the prettiest you ever seen
That a 32 year-old like myself
With inner youth
Can spend a field day picking
If I could only have that much time to do so!

( The beach and extravangazas and college not in my town; it's in nearby towns)Www@QuestionHome@Com
