Question: May I drag another oldie out for my new friends to see!?
*****
MY SHOEBOX

What wondrous things my shoebox beholds
Spilling allover with poems and prose,
Napoleon’s there, and Genghis the Khan,
Shillelagh, Hockey Stick, Sorcerer’s Wand,

I’m riffling through it, you see,
I’ve lost something in there, of me,
I can’t seem to find it
I know I designed it,
It’s probably old…and fil’thy,

Close to the bottom, it’s there,
Next to a lock of my true lover’s hair,
The edges are worn, creases are torn
A sad look of forlorn,

There, in Mom’s mirror,
It’s me…

Yep, I like this one too!. Found yourself in the old mirror, but you don't look the same as you did when the mirror was new!. The picture has aged over the Millenia!.

This is one of my favorites!. The shoebox as metaphor for the past in which memories are stored!. Looking through the boy's mirror to see a man changed by the passage of time!. The line 'I've lost something in there, of me,' is poignant!. Time takes as well as gives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Pardon me while I drag this one out as well, while we are dragging old crap out!.!. Sir!.
