Question: What's the BEST poem you have ever read!? Or, at least, your all-time favorite!?

I want to write a fantastic poem for a writing contest, and I would like to know what mesmerizes the general audience, what tendencies the best authors tend to have, etc!.

btw, I intend my work to be completely unique and original, so don't even dare to talk to me about "oh don't copy it" or whatever!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think an audience is captivated by an enigma or at least something that relates to their state of mind at the particular moment!. Perhaps they prefer a mystery where the mind actually has to work and may still be unsure!?!?!?!?!?
My personal favourite (probably because it is mine) is:

Yesterday upon the stair,
I saw a man who wasn't there,
He wasn't there again today!.
