Curse them Cubbies
Sadness here in the Windy City!.
Cubby blue is singing blue again
hopes foiled for the hundredth time
no magic ring to shake the Cubby curse!.
Yes they had the town a talking
ended with the leagues best record
but the curse arrived with Manny’s bat!.
Damn that Billie goat once again!
Scalpers, bars, hawkers, alike are crying
a goldmine turned up dry again!.
But one side of town is silently smiling
the side that wears black and white!
Their cheer…Go White Sox!
