Question: Is this something that you have wondered about!?
the mechanics
the feel of the barrel surely cold
and probably odd to mouth hold
was it propped to help aid its weight
the mechanics to do such a simple act
does one plan this act obsess the details
or just fantasize until reality fades away
is planning part of the journey or a cry
does the instrument chosen imply resolve
a blade a pill a cord a gun a car they choose
does choosing gain some inward satisfaction
some control over a life surely chaotic
or no code followed here for reality faded
but at that final moment what holds them back
an angel or a will unwilling to say ok
remorse regret or seeing reality without them
what holds them back what brings them back

No I never have wondered in such away that you express here!.
But I can understand the pain that would cause one to give up, in the
moment, if they can't work through that moment, seeing no light at the
end of the tunnel!.Little do they know, "This too shall pass!." I think it seems doubtful in that moment, that anyone could stop the person from their fate!. No, I've never really wondered about the mechanics, but I'm constantly thinking about what brings me back, and that's how bad my kids would hate me if I assisted in my death!.
I wouldn't say I'm suicidal, but I'm ready for the next phase--I'm actually looking forward to it!.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go hug my kids again (you're pretty good at making me do that)!.

I've never wondered about the object of choice in a suicide's last hours!.!.!.!.no logic comes into, although perhaps when it is something dramatic like a hanging!.!.!.they wish to get revenge on some-one!.
Wife comes home, finds husband hanging from the stair-well!. (His thinking, I'll show her!. I'll make her sorry)!.!.!.taking some tablets and lying in bed doesn't do it quite so well!.!.!.
And as to a change of mind!.!.the life force sometimes is too strong!.

I have passed that stage!. I didn't do anything suicidal, but i just didn't feel like wanting to live anymore, thus i was being put under medication for a short while!. Twas two years ago!. I am ok now!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Thoughts of suicide are due to a relentless pain!. It will not stop!. Perhaps, hope appears suddenly, and the decision is aborted!. Www@QuestionHome@Com
